Meet Lima Locos Head Coach Rob Livchak.
The 2002 Season will be Rob's 8th Season with the organization.
Rob Coached the Locos in 1991 , with a 20 - 20 record and a second
place finish. Rob returned the next 3 years, winning the League in
1993 with a 24 - 16 record. After a year off, Rob returned in 1996.
Rob has coached a large number of players
who have went on to play in the Major Leagues. Such notable players as
1991's Troy McCallister , infielder for the New York Yankees. Locos 1993
Outfielder, Brian Simmons played for the Chicago White Sox. Ohio State
Graduates , Kevin Cannon, Boton Red Sox and Ron Nelson , Texas Rangers.
Rob's Pro Career as a Baseball Player was with
the St. Louis Cardinals from 1985 to 1989. Rob was selected as Left Handed
Pitcher of the year for the South Atlantic League in 1986 and the Forida State
League in 1987.
Rob's Coaching Career stems back to 1990, where
he became Assistant Coach of the Sandusky Legion Baseball Club. From there
Rob Graduated from The University of Toledo with his Masters in Sports Admin-
istration and become the Assistant Coach of the Toledo University Baseball Team.
Rob is presently Head Coach at the Lima Branch of the Ohio State University.
